Shari Karney is a widely respected legal expert for breaking cases of the day. Her most recent commentary covers the Netflix’s hit docuseries “The Keepers”, the Bill Cosby trial and proposed changes in Megan’s Law that would take sex offenders off the registry.

Karney has appeared as a guest and expert on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Larry King Live, ABC’s PrimeTime with Diane Sawyer, 20/20, The Today Show, Weekend Today Show, Inside Edition, CNN, FOX, MSNBC, HLN, ABC, NBC, CBS Evening News, Inside Edition as well as hundreds of other television news programs. Karney has also been featured in the New York Times, Sunday Magazine Section, The Los Angeles Times, Glamour Magazine, Variety Magazine, Hollywood Reporter, and TV Guide. Shari was featured daily in a syndicated reality court show on Fox television called “Power of Attorney” where the ten most influential and notorious attorneys in the US tried cases against each other. As lead attorney on the show, Shari would go head to head with Christopher Darden, Marcia Clark, Geoffrey Feiger, Lisa Bloom (author of bestseller Think!) and Gloria Allred. In 2013 Lifetime Television featured Karney in a reality series chronicling her life and legal work on behalf of trauma survivors.

Shari continues to inspire others as the author of Prey No Longer, A Step-by-Step Guide for Survivors of Sexual Abuse. Shari’s is currently working on her memoir, The Girl Behind the Curtain, to inspire victims of childhood sexual abuse, rape and trauma to find their voice.
