As a television legal analyst, Shari is known for her in-depth analysis of headline-grabbing trials, Shari has been interviewed about every major crime and justice story of our time, including the Casey Anthony murder trial, OJ Simpson trial; Britney Spears' custody and mental illness battles; the Michael Jackson child molestation case; the Scott Peterson, Robert Blake and Susan Smith murder trials.

Shari was the lead attorney in a syndicated reality court show on Fox television called Power of Attorney where the ten most influential and notorious attorneys in the US tried cases against each other. As lead attorney on the show, Shari would go head-to-head with Christopher Darden, Marcia Clark, Geoffrey Fieger (Jack Kevorkian's lawyer), Lisa Bloom (author of bestseller Think, and Gloria Allred.

Television Movie Made About Shari's Life: "Shattered Trust: The Shari Karney Story"

Shari own inspirational story was the subject of an NBC Television Movie entitled: Shattered Trust: The Shari Karney Story. It was in the top 10 highest rated television movies in NBC's history. The movie about Shari Karney attracted 12 million viewers in the United States and 18 million viewers worldwide. Men and women, who had never told a soul about what happened to them as children, were breaking the silence and speaking out. Shari gave out her contact information, and spoke to anyone who wanted to connect with her, personally.

NBC did a special satellite hookup with Shari where she interacted with viewers and appeared on 115 television shows across the United States in a two-hour time period. Survivors, spouses' of survivors and family members were jamming the phone lines of their local television stations all wanting to speak with Shari. With compassion and a sense of deep connection, Shari spent 6 more hours speaking to anyone who wanted to talk with her personally, off the air.

Shari Helped Change the Law for Survivors of Sexual Abuse

Shari's accomplishments extend far beyond the courtroom. Karney, with her "never give up attitude" managed to overcome great personal and legal hurdles to change the law in California so that victims of childhood sexual abuse now have legal rights. Not stopping there, Shari worked with 40 other states, so that survivors across the nation now have legal rights as well. Karney lobbied and testified in Washington D.C. for a Children's Bill of Rights.

Karney is the recipient of the Appeal for Love Award, by ChildHelp USA, the NGRA Humanitarian Award, and "It Takes A Village" Award. She has been honored at the White House during Bill Clinton's presidency.

She graduated from UCLA, Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and graduated Loyola Law School in Los Angeles with Honors.

She is an entrepreneur and Owner of Barwinners, a Bar Review Course with one of the highest bar passage rates in California. Karney has been teaching lawyers and law students the "art" of law as well as how to pass the California bar exam for 23 years. She has always had a passion for helping others reach their goal. Karney shows her bar review students how to find their own unique gift by using the bar exam and her own journey to help them.
